A Southern League occurs as minor league baseball league which operates in the Southern United States. A original league was formed within 1885, but it got to close up around 1899. a freshly league, the Southern Association, was formed in 1900, consisting of twelve teams. A Association ended around 1961. Within 1964, the South Atlantic League (likewise referred to as a SALLY), changed its title to the Southern League. This league has continued since.
A league is divided into ii divisions. Prior to 2005, a divisions were East & West, however the move of a Greenville Braves to Mississippi when the 2004 year led to a realignment. A divisions come currently Northward & South.
